We REALLY want to party with the Mervas but will not be in town for New Years. We will be around approximately the 23rd to the 30th. I called ya'll today to try to find out what your ideas for parties were because we are getting hounded for date commitments by family, you know how that goes.
Anyway, I got a facebook thingy too. It is the kind of thing that I don't do because I get way too into it....I've gotten too into it. In my mind, too into it, means that I check it each day and look to see what people are doing that I don't entirely care about. It's weird the things we do. But, it's nice 'cause I do care about some of the people.
Glad you had a thankful thanksgiving and alll. I hope we can work out holiday dates, I mean we'll totally hang anyway but......we did make you breakfast last year!

Yeah, breakfast! That was great!

So howsa bout this:

We will have a get-together on Monday, Dec 29 around 3 or 4 (after afternoon naps) that will include all babies, toddlers, children and anyone else who wants to come. I was thinking about including dinner, too. Something simple, maybe spaghetti and salad? This event can last til whenever, and anybody who wants to sleep over is welcome.

Does that work for you?

i had a dream i was hanging out with you and penny and lucy at a big folky concert last night.

i wont be in michigan during the xmas break. b will. i will be back for new years. matt and rosie have a van, so maybe they would be into loading it up with some kalamazoo-ites and party at your place? maybe we should ask rosie if shes interested (assuming you all are into sticking around a day or two later).

there wasn't any cranesgiving as far as i know. i tried to organize one for the sunday before, but everybody was too busy/tired. sigh.. i really wanted some mountain dew turkey. oh well. maybe next year.

i love the idea of the deranged hamster super hero getting penny into super heros.

I hope that dream magically comes true!

Too bad about Cranesgiving... Naturally, we would have been up for it. We're up for anything, any kind of fun, whenever. Man, I just can't believe it. I was bemoaning our Cranesgiving-less holiday and there was nothing we were missing after all. What's become of this world?

Looks like we're planning on a New Years celebration for sure. And of course, we would love to see you! Let's talk to Rosie about a van-full of fun! (or maybe you and Bryan could make the trek on your own... sleep-over!)

I am also a PMS cryer! I was watching the macy's parade and cried watching one of the high school marching bands, imagining how proud their parents must be watching them march on national telivision. It was a little embarassing!

We are excited to see you all for christmas! The Bangharts are totally down for a hangout!

Wow, that IS embarrassing PMS crying....I love it! I'm definitely guilty of nerdy tears like that, too.

Y'all coming over for either party? Sounds like the Dec. 29th occasion is a don't-miss.

that's really funny stephanie. I can also relate to crying at such absurd things.

Hey! I will be around before and well after Christmas. Anytime is good for me. Kirsten wants to come to the party but she won't be in town until the 29th. That might be too late. By the way, I also got a Facebook account (about five months ago) and I haven't done anything with it. Somehow it seems like a bigger commitment than our beloved LJ.

Let's do New Years then! and the Dec. 29th Very Important Toddler Meeting as well, if you're available.

LJ is just so much cooler than that social-networking/popularity crap. But I do understand that people would want to get in touch with lost friends. I just don't happen to be one of those people at this point in my life.

Why haven't you friended me yet?

It's funny that you and Penny went to see Bolt, 'cause Sean and I took his kids to see it too! That is what we did for Thanksgiving.

The weird food items at my house were Squash Bisque and candied turnips....yum! (the kids ate the turnips, not the bisque.)

Mmmm... Candied turnips... Sounds interesting!

Boy, I was so glad Bolt wasn't as action-packed as the first ten minutes of the movie. Whew!
