The Case of the Missing Caramels

Mar 10, 2014 21:30

I bought 8 of those little caramels that sit on the checkout counter at a store tonight so we could have them as treats after dinner. They were in a bag with Kellen's throat lozenges that I'd also purchased. I made one stop for FIVE MINUTES and left the bag, with the throat lozenges, and the caramels, in the car, with one black and white border ( Read more... )

Ha ha ha!! Have had that happen more than once! This weekend up at the RHR trial somebody(Beep I think) figured out how to stand on a travel trailer counter and open a cupboard above the sink and raid it for apple muffins and a loaf of bread!

THE FRIDGE!?? Oh, boy, THAT would be really bad!

Wicket is a chronic counter surfer and garbage getter in-er, which is actually why he was with me. It's easier to just take him with me than to Wicket-proof the house every time I leave. Oh, and he did once get into our pantry and got into some boxed goods but it apparently wasn't rewarding enough as he hasn't done it since. He did get into the garbage last week and ate, among other things, an entire (rotisserie) chicken carcass.

Yes, they KNOW when they've been bad...but they're totally thinking, "it was soooo worth it!"

Is that you in the picture? What the heck is on your hand?? Hahaa, Cree-py!

See? Sneaky!
Razor would have been sitting on the front seat still licking the dregs off his front paws and would have looked up at you and said "Thanks! those were YUMMMM!"

sigh.

At least you would have gotten thanked ;).

Here's the thing...how MANY TIMES does this have to happen before ***I*** remember to put stuff up??? I at least remembered to put the rotisserie chicken in the trunk - which now that I think about it could have been REALLY dangerous. Although Wicket has never been destructive in the car, I have heard stories of dogs digging through the back seats to get to groceries in the trunk.

I don't have a trunk. Probably a good thing!
