i lost simbaa yesterday. i miss him even more than i thought i would. several times a day i'm hit with a tidal wave of grief and loss: simbaa is gone forever. even now, as i type this in the computer lab of hillman library, tears are welling up in my eyes

So I have to tell you that I am reading this in MY computer lab (in the basement of a building at CMU) and tears welled up in my eyes. That was such a vivid story--and every possibility you thought of in what your cat was doing makes me cry in different ways

I think losing pets is one of the hardest things. I think its harder than losing people in a way.
