Today was just a crappy day. It started poorly, it continued poorly, and it put me in a place where I really couldn't handle myself enough emotionally to follow through with my plans. Well all, I finally have the internet up and running in my new place.  I'm happily settled in here, though I still have plenty to do before this place is as rockin' as Dale and I intend to make it.  Work is strange.  Two more days until I'm the senior member of the front end staff... and I'm making less than the people I'm training.  I'll see what ( Read more... )

A week today until I move out. A week and two days until Tonya's last day at work (I think). Today was Andre's last day. He was a cool sort of guy and will be missed by all of us. I worked ten hours today, with a half hour break, so I'm pretty tired. Off to bed with me. Goodnight.

I'm sick of fucked up power dynamics.  It's bullshit.  I just don't get this need to control or be controlled.  As far as I can see, either way is just motivated by fear.  The need for control is a fundamental lack of trust in other people.  It's the need to feel that one's destiny is in one's own hands.  It's not.  There is too much random shit in ( Read more... )
