Fox wasn't the sort that liked to dwell on feeling crappy and whatnot anyway. While he wasn't much of a bragger, he rather enjoyed singing his teammates praises.
"Oh, Slippy's great! Aside from maintaining the arwings and keeping our flagship in order, he built us a tank and a submarine from scratch. He also designed and built my blaster and all kinds of other little things my team used."
Fox glanced at his arwing, chuckling to himself, "He'd probably flip his top if he could see how badly I've mangled my ship."
"Huh. Not bad at all." Garrus conceded with a grin.
With that, he finished putting together the last few parts and approached Fox, shoving the completed component into his chest. It wasn't malicious at all. In fact, that classic shit eating grin managed to show up.
"When he arrives I'll be sure to tell him all about it in excruciating detail. I wanna see what he does to you."
Ahh Garrus and your shit eating turian grin. Fox gave the component a look over before giving Garrus a smirk.
"Aside from whine and nag me a little, he probably wouldn't do much. Slip's the least likely person on the team to give me a hard time, even if I do deserve it."
"Well that's no fun at all." Garrus borderline whined, although he tried to wave it off. "As a mechanic, he's pretty much required to have a surly attitude. Your team's ass backwards, McCloud."
As he spoke, Garrus carried the other fixed parts towards Fox's ship and started to set up, thankful that most tools and parts seemed to be universal. Otherwise, this would be a very short repair session.
"Nah, Slip was the baby of the team. I got more than enough attitude from Falco. He was my best pilot and he knew it, and he made sure everyone else knew it. He was here for a while, maybe you saw him around."
Fox climbed up onto the wing and took a seat, trying to keep out of Garrus's way. "You need the ship's blueprints or anything?"
