"I remember seeing him around, yeah. He did have a certain... presence, to put it nicely."

Garrus laughed as lowered himself so he could lay directly beneath the cannon, and opened up its belly so he could peer inside.

"Damn. I'm definitely gonna need some blueprints. It's a mess in here."

"He's an asshole." Fox said bluntly, climbing into his cockpit. He emerged a moment later with a small tool box and hopped down to the ground, kneeling next to Garrus and the arwing.

"It's not usually that bad. Like I said, I'm not really the best mechanic. I know enough for minor emergency repairs and whatnot, but that's about the extent of it." Fox popped the box open and rummaged around in it a bit before pulling out a small mechanical contraption. He turned it over in his hands a couple of times, studying it for a moment before he figured out how to activate it. Upon doing so, the small device displayed a holographic image of the Arwing's blueprints.

"I don't have the paper ones on me, so this'll have to do."

"I believe you. It's not too bad, but it caught me off guard."

Garrus took the display with a grateful nod and placed it beside him on the ground, its glow provided a bit of extra light for the (somewhat) delicate procedure ahead.

"The good news is that the installation itself seems simple enough. It shouldn't take more than half an hour or so. After that, we're gonna have to work with the firing algorithms. I doubt you'll be using the ship anytime soon, but it's better than getting bit in the ass in case something comes up."

"I hear ya, I'm all for being prepared. Never know when I'll need my ship fully functional."

Fox sat cross legged on the floor, pulling the tool box closer to himself. At the very least, he could hand Garrus things as he needed them.

"Oh, before I forget. I kinda wanted to apologize for my... socially awkward friend at that party."

"Don't mention it."

A few beats passed before Garrus peeked out again.

"Seriously. I'd really, really like to forget that ever happened."

Whether or not he was actually sincere, much like many things that Garrus said, was up in the air.
