i used to be pretty much indifferent to Feist in the past, but after this ipod nano commercial, i really want her to go away. maybe if she had to retire because she burned and permanently damaged her larynx with a barbecued hot wing or something. that would work. or if ipod co. went broke, that would be alright. though the hot wing scenario is

feist is this indie-ish diva from canada.. like the celine dion of college radio or something at this point...

she's also a member of broken social scene, and she has a much better voice than celine. i love her stuff, and this post amused me because i only know her through her music.

is this similar to the "this is our country" ads, in that it's the ubiquity during NFL broadcasts which inspired your malevolent thoughts?

yeah, it is played all the time. i havent really heard much of her music, but enough so that i figure its not going to hook me enough, though i didnt really think it was that bad or anything. but i guess i just dont like that song in particular, or ive heard it enough now.

the commercial is just her doing a weird dance routine with a crazy, shiny tight jumpsuit with exposed shoulders, and a bunch of people behind her doing the routine as well, all shown on tiny ipod screens. i guess any commercial is annoying after 300 views.
