Saw Cloverfield with James on Saturday.  It's an exceptional movie.  Aparently, it's too complicated for some people, such as the greasy teens that were sitting behind us.  Some people won't be happy unless the monster is interviewed at the end of the movie and they're told exactly what it's motivation was and where it came from.  This is why SOL ( Read more... )

Remember the situation with my neighbors and their dog?  Well, I let it slide since my mother kept freaking out over possible revenge.  A few days after his last escape, he got out again and managed to kill 2, maybe 3, cats and also led an unsupervised 12-year-old and 4-year-old girl across two busy streets and a railroad track just missing cars ( Read more... )

Here's the dilemma: my neighbors have a dog that they mistreat.  They keep it outside all the time -- in the heat, the rain, the snow, always without shelter.  There are four kids in the house that have beaten the dog with sticks, thrown rocks at it, kicked it, and otherwise harmed it.  They never take it for walks and they hardly play with it.  I' ( Read more... )
