So, after five years, I got my license renewed today. The surprisingly nice ladies at the DMV wouldn't stop talking about how much I'd grown up over my old picture. It was very flattering. The picture I got wasn't very good, but when are license photos ever good, huh?

I scanned the old one just for the memories. Don't tell anyone.

Sheesh, word travels fast. Poor kitty from upstairs got locked out in the rain tonight, so we let him in and dried him off. He was certainly a playful guy.  Made himself right at home.

Lying in bed, next to the only fans because its so bloody hot, I just relaxed and closed my eyes...

and opened them five and a half hours later.  I basically missed all the sunlight today. =(

So, I'm in that grumpy/disappointed mood where I'd feel a lot better if I just went out and irresponsibly bought something. Thing is, everything I want is ungodly expensive. Especially considering I have about $300 to my name.

• new sofa (leather or suede) - at least $500
• new laptop - at least $1100
• a Cintiq - at least $1200

Seems our apartment is becoming the local cat hangout. Felix must have told his friends about us. Last night I saw a cat across the parking lot and called out to it.
