Day 1 over, and I can only explain it as 'interesting subject material, either well taught in a boring fashion, or poorly taught in an entertaining fashion' (we have two instructors). 8-5 on a Saturday, and again tomorrow. Will be glad when it's done.

Nostalgic songs make me angry. Not songs that make me nostalgic (although those too, sometimes) but songs that are about nostalgia, about reliving days long since gone as if they were the best you'll ever have, or even good at all.

I'm not sure why.

Got the phone call today, my interview was a success and I start training in April. In a day full of broken work machines, family members with stressful events going on, shitty weather, bad news from mechanics, harassment from the government, and other garbage, I'm trying to make that one victory my takeaway item.

I can honestly say I've never been to an event like it. At my day job, we get small bonuses in the form of gift certificates. You can choose from a list of stores, and the list is pretty lame. Yuppy menswear, or crappy home decor.
