Just a bit of awesome news: My niece-dog, Grace, was diagnosed on Thurs. as having a cruciate ligament rupture and had to have surgery. Why is this awesome, you ask? Because her mama and I were afraid she was having a recurrence of the cancer she was treated for 4, almost 5 years ago.

WTF, Cambridge?
Dear People of Cambridge, Ohio: I would have spent money in your town on Saturday, but everything I wanted to go to was apparently CLOSED until January 7th. Does no one shop in your town for the two weeks after Christmas? The used bookstore: closed. The artsy craftsy supply store I found online: closed. I told a co-irker a little while ago that if he asked me about the donations that came in the mail today I would shriek at the top of my lungs. And he did anyway. And I did. Honestly, I had no idea I could scream that loudly.
But seriously, if he hovers over/badgers me again on Monday I may have to savage him with my teeth. -
Doing good deeds
Tomorrow afternoon I'm doing my good deed for the month of January - I'm participating in the transport of two rescue dogs from Danbury, CT to Dayton, OH and Springfield, MO.
