Chapter Twelve

Kara had never been good at waiting.

It wasn’t her style.  She liked to be fighting, acting, moving.  But now there was nothing else for her to do.  She’d fought for Lee as far as she could, made her feelings clear to him.  The ball was in his court now; all she could do was wait to see if he returned it.

But it wasn’t easy, ( Read more... )

See, they are capable of having an honest conversation when they try really hard! Glad you enjoyed it.

Aah yes. So nice to be a writer. To create a perfect world where you can make the perfect couple and the perfect ending just the way you want it to be. Too bad it's not reality, isn't it?

It is nice to be able to do that, isn't it :) I think writing this is what got me through the angst of season 3 so far - best kind of therapy!

Yes, and we can get our shadow sides out this way, too, without ever really hurting anyone. If only everyone would try writing, maybe there wouldn't be so much violence and war. There are some humdingers on LiveJournal I've noticed. Such a great place to get your angst out, whatever kind of therapy one needs!

YAY!!!!1

I feel all warm and fuzzy now :D I loved loved loved that you didn't let them just kiss and have a happy end at the moment where Lee stands in front of her door, but that they actually TALK. And the conversation - so odd it is, to see our beloved pilots finally talk about feelings - was very them, the things that make them afraid, that awkward feeling first, the way they nearly start anothe rfight...I'm so glad that they work things out between them.

In the end I had a mild shock again - I could feel Lee's shock and fear so very well, but she was there. Such a tender lovely ending - I guess I'll sit here and smile a while. Yay again!

This was a fabulous and wonderful fic, I've enjoyed it very very much :D

Well I wanted to make them work for that happy ending and give the impression a couple of times in this chapter that they might still frak it all up. Because I don't think just one honest conversation is going to resolve all their issues, but it gives them something to start from and hopefully at the end you feel that it won't be easy but they will get there.

Thanks for such a lovely review.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to the next chapter of 'Finding Purpose' whenever you have time to write it - I know your life is very hectic at the moment. Hope your exams went well.
