BSG fic - Hidden Memories 4/4

The End

------------------

So that was my first BSG story.  Lee's already dead, and Kara spends most of the story unconscious and then dies...things could only improve for them in my fic from there, couldn't they?

Oh, that made me cry.

Starbuck and Apollo together again...oh, they didn't forget Lee after all.

Thankyou, I'm really pleased you liked it.

No, they didn't forget Lee. I still can't figure out why Lee wasn't in this story, when he's my favourite character - that's why I ended up writing 'On the Outside' after this, so he had a story all to himself.

But Lee was in the story - in spirit. ;)
When you think about it, Kara wasn't really in the story either, except as a the hollow shell of a dying woman, yet it was a story about Lee and Kara.

That was a beautiful and heart rending story and I enjoyed reading it. I thought you had a very interesting idea capturing Kara and Lee's history from the perspective of her Grandaughter, hearing the story from Kara's death bed and from Helo.

Thank you for sharing

This is just absolutely beautiful--there were tears in my eyes throughout. What a perfect ending. Very moving--excellent job.

oh this is so sad. you have me totally in tears.

I tried to do a similar type of deathbed fic in another fandom, and reading this one makes me even more aware of the ways mine went off-track. but then I did it as a post-ep reaction, so I knew its obvious flaws.

sorry to detract - this is about your fic. Love how you set this through the eyes of the granddaughter, and I really love the graveside conversation with Helo. The reveal is so satisfying because Laura is learning certain truths and Helo can be so matter-of-fact about them, even the loss of his own true love.

And the symbols on the headstone just made choke up at how perfectly it would fit how Kara would want to remember Lee in this situation.

Thanks for the tearjerker!

Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it despite the tears.

This was my first BSG story, so I used my original character's point of view to feel my way into the series characters.

Everything I write seems to end up being Lee/Kara though even when neither of them are really in the story. They do get happier endings in some of my other stories though :)

Thanks for commenting, it's much appreciated :)

*sniffles* Excellent. I LOVE the symbols on the headstone with the words in the language of the scrolls.

Wonderful first fic.
