Sonnets vs. Sudoku
During the Shakespeare Conservatory I attended last week, I also took part in a little sonnet writing workshop, which essentially turned producing these poems into a kind of puzzle, akin to crosswords and sudokus ( Read more... ) -

the positive point in my day
I found out my blood type today, at Lakehead's Health Fair. Finally, I've been validated as special! I'm apparently AB+; AB types making up about 3% of Canadians. The lady who pricked my finger with her cute little pricker box (why didn't I think to give her my left hand?) shooed me over to her supervisor to set me up with a donation appointment ( Read more... ) -

Once upon a time, 70 million years ago, there lived a turtle named Archelon ischyros. It could grow up to (as far as we know) 16 feet from nose to tail, 13 from flipper to flipper, weighing more than 11 000 pounds. It had an overbite and ate meat.

first day o' skool
pedxing and I have been sitting in ATAC, trying to register for classes for over an hour. This is a process which should take about ten minutes, tops. But the stupidity of Lakehead's computer network/website/everything technology related astounds even me.
