I spend my nights reading Greek tragedies - Sophocles' Oedipus and Antigone, Euripides' The Bacchants while sitting in bed feeding myself on ancient sorrow. Uncalled and unwanted pangs of sadness stabs me in the chest; I try to tell myself its because of the dreaded time of the month but it doesn't take these emotions away. Some things never change, like the way the weather in Toronto is as erratic as ever and how friends are still as wonderful as ever. Its good to be back in Toronto and its even better to have a place of your own. I've not had internet conncection at my place yet but thats going to change soon.

I had an absolutely amazing dinner at Restaurant Ember last night and I'm still dreaming of their wonderful lamb rack, chocolate mousse and great service. I'm in a culinary heaven so great that I can temporarily forget that I only have a week left in Singapore.

And now, I remember.

With the end of yet another week, there are only ten days left till I fly halfway across the world leaving behind a chunk of my heart. If only summer would go on and on; if only time could stand still just for a few more weeks. But we know that even a few more months would not be enough. Its on days like this that I wonder why is it that I let myself fall into a situation like this. Is it really love, in its full glory or is it pure folly? You have no idea what I am talking about do you? I guess it doesn't matter because all I wanted to do was to exorcise this emotion (for the lack of finding the right word for it) from within.
