Apparently we're going to tootle today. dh has a map and we're going to head out. dd#1 & ds are at the dojo today working as camp councellors (sp?), so it's just us & dd#2.
No idea where we're going.

Off to Niagara Falls today.
First stop, Whirlpool Jet boat ride @ 10am, it's gonna be wet, it's gonna be cold and it's gonna be fun.
Next. lunch.
Then at 2 we've got tickets to "High Society" at the Shaw Festival. It's the play based on The Philadelphia Story & from the reviews it's supposed to be a good show. I hope that the kids like it.

So they finally found the guy that murdered JonBenet. In 1996 when she died, I had 3 little kids of my own, 3, 5 & 7 yrs old, and it really hit close to home (once again) how fragile life is and how you can wake up one morning and find that your life has changed overnight ( Read more... )

Just heard back from the store in Edmonton. They're out of one fabric I need 3m of. So why did they send me a swatch if they only have scraps left??

On Thursday we went to Kingston & stayed at the Holiday Inn on the waterfront. dh had specifically requested we stay there & it was nice in a Holiday Inn kind of way but I have to say that the desk staff could learn a LOT about customer service from the DoubleTree.
