Almost two months to the day of starting, I finished Susan Brack's The Enchanted Sleigh.  It uses a specialty, hand-dyed 28 count lugana from Silkweaver, DMC cotton threads, Kreinik Blending Filament, and Mill Hill glass beads.

Earlier this year, I got turned on hand-dyed (or in some cases, hand-painted) fabrics for use with my needlework.  Some of these can be down right gorgeous, but gosh they are pricy!

We had a new neighbor move in next door. She makes jewelry. Lovely lovely beaded jewelry with nice large chunky semi-precious beads.

My poor, poor bank account may not be able to survive the damage.

While I always have several cross-stitch works-in-progress (WIP) at any one time, the one I'm focusing on will be a Christmas present for my mother.  It's a ten-year old pattern by Susan Brack titled The Enchanted Sleigh, published by Leisure Arts.

Major progress made on the Great Home Improvement Project!  The new furniture was delivered on Friday, so we finally have a living room again.  It's super comfy, too.  I have been gleefully stitching on the new soft comfy chairs.  It's really nice to not have metal futon bars digging into your ass ( Read more... )
