We went to Finland in the middle of September but I never posted anything about it. I finally just uploaded a bunch of pictures, so now I'll try to record our trip.
The best part of the trip was staying at Rantapuisto, this hotel/conference center/resort in the middle of a forest. The air was so clean and our room had a view of this:

1. In Helsinki, as we waited at the boat terminal to go to Estonia, a guy sat alone at a round table, pounding on it to the music in his headphones. After spending a year and a half teaching myself to seek and destroy jargon, I marched right into an industry that loves it so much. It's all "growth stories" and "bulls" and "squawk." my new favorite thing is the bryant park project. if you have occasion to listen to internet radio, i recommend you check it out.
but mostly, this is directed at dana because she most closely shares my media tastes/obsessions. the host reminds me of seth cohen/gossip girl knock-off seth cohen.
