You used the same quote as me!!! I was confused too about all of O'Briens "rules" of a true war story, and I would agree with you in saying that this book isnt a true was story according to his "rules"

I love reading your prompts.. They explain things and make you think. Even though I still dont understand some parts they help kind of. And I agree about the whole thing of how you were sayin bout how the war story was anythin and everything but war because when you do read this book.. they never talk about fighting. I think emotions is the key to all this. But I dont know cause I'm very confused about this one.
