I'm 33 weeks now, which is what? About 7 1/2 months, less than 2 months to go now. I still haven't been able to sleep much, but my legs have been bothering me less since I have tried to cut out the salt from my diet. (what diet?ha) Anyway, the baby shower is underway, and I'm registered, but now must finish the paint job in nursery. Now it seems ( Read more... )

Bless your heart! I can say that being 6 months post partum, I can sympathize. I won't tell you my birth stories - they aren't really all that exciting. You will be fine without a doula, and the epidural is absolutely wonderful. You will even be fine if for some reason you have to have a c-section (I hope you don't). Oh, ask your doctor about taking Tylenol PM. My doctor said it's ok every once in a while. I took it sometimes and sometimes Benadryl to sleep and Joshua is just fine. You are definitely on the countdown to a baby! That's so exciting! -Katie

How's the post partum? Are you experiencing alot of depression? I had a serious bout of depression between 3-6 mos. and I am so glad I got a therapist. I still have her, but we don't meet as often. I am suppose to keep her until September, and I'm hoping I won't need her so much after the baby is here, but I just don't know. Depends on how we settle in. If you ever wanna talk, I am here for you. Most of the time I just need to get things off my chest. I found myself some great penpals to write to who really are encouraging and send me great letters back about their lives and experiences. Makes me feel less lonely in the world. If you ever need a penpal, I'd be more than happy to make room for you! I send fun stuff too! Kat;)

Hey, Kat. I think it'd be great to be penpals! My email is katie75009@yahoo.com. I'd love to hear from you there. And I'm an open book, so ask whatever you wanna know about me and I'm happy to tell you.

As far as post partum depression goes - I didn't suffer from too much that I could tell. There are, of course, lots of raging hormones that come at you right after birth, so I'd keep that therapist if I were you, at least until you're settled into a groove with the baby. That groove got here around 8-10 weeks for me. It varies for everybody that I've talked to.

Anyway, hope to hear from you soon!

-Katie
