I'm always impressed when the blood draw lady\guy finds a vein easily. Doesn't happen often, but when it does, I'm grateful.

My tactic for doctor's offices is to show up ready to give a urine sample whether they want it or not. When I check in I inform them that I an definitely ready to give a sample, and if they don't need it, "Can I please use the restroom anyway?" So far, the response has always been positive. I've even been thanked for it, as the doctor can't say much to me until they get the results from the sample. Having it all ready right before the appointment makes things move faster.

I'm always a hard draw. I have shrimpy little angel hair pasta veins.

The only time I've been asked for urine was when I had a suspected UTI. Normally they just take blood for a routine physical.

The labs all keep something called a disposable "urine hat" (but they don't offer it, you have to ask) that fits onto the bowl of the toilet. It will catch even the smallest dribbles and it even has an easy pour spout so you can pour it easily in the small container they give you. It's a life saver for people who have trouble.
