It's Birmingham Beer Festival time again, from today (Thurs 11th) to Sat (13th) - 12pm to 11pm each day. Range of real ales of all descriptions, plus real cider & perry, and foreign bottled beer. More details:

Following on neatly from my last post, I've just realised I'm having an entirely vegan lunch today - deep fried tofu stir-fry, with mushrooms, beansprouts, carrots, courgette, leek and freshly-shelled peas, in a satay sauce. Yummy! Must check out the Chinese supermarkets near the Anchor more often :)

Marvellous. The sunshine has held up, all my evenings and weekends of hard work in the garden have paid off to make it useable, and I'm about to have my inaugural BBQ of 2008, having missed out entirely on BBQs in my own garden last year due to me being away every weekend there was even a hint of dry weather ( Read more... )
