On a scale of 1-10 just how big of a no-no is a resume that exceeds one page? Discuss.

I say stick to one page, but we have this law professor at school [oops, guess I shouldn't say "we" anymore!] who SWEARS by multi-page resumes . . . he holds all these workshops and will personally help people make them. And almost every single one of them gets a job within the first month. So, it really depends on the preference of the EMPLOYER - if you are applying for jobs where there will be an extremely large volume of applicants, stick to one page but make it stick out. If you are applying to smaller, more personal places, take as many pages as you need. But if you are going to do over 1 page, then make sure you completely fill out the additional page so it looks intentional and not like you just ran out of room.

But I still stick with the one-pagers. :)

four pages or more. set yourself apart. my resume is almost six pages, single spaced. my previous employment section is a crossword puzzle.
