An Open Post for My Baby Boy, Charlie

So, while Charlie was with me these last few weeks, he decided to dye his hair BLUE. Not *my* favorite color ;D but as I told him, who cares, it's not *my* hair. Even Grandy said "whatever, it's HIS hair."

Well, last night he went back to his father who was less than pleased, but seemed to handle it well.

And then...The Stepmother saw It.

If that was all he had done, then I wouldn't have any problem with it. Were there something like a slip in grades or some kind of anti-social behavior on his part, then I might show more concern but that kind of reaction isn't warrented just for dyeing his hair to look like an Easter egg.

Nope. He's a good kid. Stays out of trouble, very smart, very creative, plays in the marching band, member of the photography club, admires John Lennon, and helps both his grandmothers with yard work.

Like I said, besides being a typical Knucklehead (see "wet towel"), he is a WONDERFUL person!!

Having done something similar to my mother--surprising her the DAY OF PROM with bright red hair--I don't think I'm in a position to yell at my Boy when that day comes--and I know it will come.

As you said--it is his hair.

See, if he hadn't dyed his hair blue..he would have waited until he was 43 and dyed it pink and purple like I just did.
