A few weeks ago I ran 6.4 miles in the freezing cold rain, and a couple days later my left knee hurt beyond belief. It's still strained, apparently, and I can't really run anymore. But I do anyway. I suppose, like everything else humans go through, depression works in stages. I don't mean that it goes through a set order of emotions and then ends--just that certain moods work together for long periods of time. Anxiety, general sadness, anger, blah blah blah.
