Another place I've been considering is Nanjing. It's a really cool city from what I can tell. I only got to spend a few days there, but I really liked it. It's also got some prestigious universities, and lots of history. I've talked about this a little, but Shanghai isn't the best place to learn Chinese. From what I can tell, living in a 'second-tier' city (less well known cities in China, which many times, still have a couple million people in them) is the way to go. Although I'm still not sure exactly what I want to do in China, I remain ridiculously enthusiastic about going. Part of me thinks that initially teaching English for a while would be putting off studying Chinese intensley. I finally got the monkey off my back that was my Freeman Asia scholarship service requirement plan. It's in the mail and, hopefully, I won't have to mess with it for a good long time. One big paper for my History class, revision of an older paper and my final for LIB 400 and my semester is complete. So damn fast, but so damn good. Does anyone know anything about busted iPods? (Ryan?) I have a 20GB Photo and the other day it just stopped working. It's not the battery either because it was fully charged and plugged in via AC when it happened. I just picked it up, tried to mess around with it, and it just went blank.
