Friday my grandfather, Senator John J. Hainkel Jr. died in his sleep. He was the most beautiful, sweet, strong, wonderful, giving, caring, man that this world will ever ever see. Alix, I am so so sorry that you lost what seemed a great man to not just you but to the world. I pray for you and your family every night, that you will live to always remember that you were so loved by this man.

Senator Hainkel,

I've never met Senator Hainkel, but he seems like the most amazing man any person could ever encounter in a lifetime. I wish I had had the opportunity to meet him. He seems so unique, with the most precious soul on earth. I know that you and your family are hurting terribly, I am hurting also because no person should ever have to suffer the loss of a heart-warming man like John. I hope and pray that you will get through this and become the same loving man he will be forever remembered as.

alix, you are the best person i have ever known throughout my entire life. im incredibly sorry that this happened to you. i love you and your mom because yall have been nothing but nice to me and im sure senator hainkel was just as nice as you and your mom. i love you with all my heart and more. ill always be there for you forever and ever whenever you need me. after all, we are going to he at DLS together. i love you.

Today (4/24) was the first day that I read this and, now my face is wet with tears because I know how much you loved Paw Paw. I'm honored that you put my name in there. I will never forget your grandfather, and when I called him MR. PAW PAW! I love you, you rock....don't ever change.
