Japanese people also like taking pictures - that’s a stereotype that rings true. There were troupes of Japanese school kids (elementary and middle school) touring the campus today, running up to random foreigners to have their pictures taken with them. My Lithuanian friend got many requests, as she is blonde-haired, blue-eyed, and very pretty. ( Read more... ) -

Oh, so THAT'S what that was...
This morning, about 0600, I awoke to the sensaiton of my whole body trembling. 'Muscle spasms?' I wondered to myself. Then, still half-asleep, I looked up to where I had hung my jacket... and saw that it was swinging back and forth.
'...Muscle spasms don't do that,' I realized after a moment.
