Love the interplay that the two of you developed with this back-and-forth setup. And I also forever love the image of Ron at the airport, unable to whittle.
I love how "doing it all over Washington" turned into Ben's floor. And I don't know if everyone will like it as much (I think there are varying headcanons/wishes for how this all plays out among various people), but I like a little bit of Leslie insecurity around Ben's fancy Washington life. I think that's exactly in-character, and I really like it here, and I guess Season 5 will tell us what the show itself thinks of it! Nice job!
Thank you!! Is it weird that I mostly hope I'm wrong in this scene? I sort of think their "doing it all over Washington" would be kind of adorable. Luckily, we should find out soon! :)
This was wonderful! The back and forth works amazingly well.
And I love Leslie's horniness, both on the bus and after the election, and that both times they sort of get interrupted. It's my favourite thing that even Leslie does not appear to ship Tom/Ann at all, because who could, at that point? Yikes.
This last part was just lovely as well. The excitement over Washington, how she can't quite believe what Ron told her before she left once she's actually in Washington, because it's all so big and important and unknown. And suddenly Ben fits into this big and important and unknown world, but does she? I really like what you did with her uncertainty there. She's comfortable in their relationship, sure, but it's still weird, he lives in this whole new place and introduces her to all these important people...it would be enough to make anyone feel a little insecure. And then Ben's surprise for her in his apartment--completely satisfying finish! Well done!
Thank you so much! I felt kind of bad, depriving Leslie of sex all those times, so I guess it was only right that she'd be surprised with roses and whipped cream in the end, right? I'm so glad you enjoyed. ♥
