Since I've posted about half my papers for this class anyway I thought I'd put this one up, too. I think just based on the nature of "personal writing" a lot of it fits nicely with what I like to put on my LJ anyway, so the fact that things are at least slightly more polished in-class makes them acceptable entries. A Refurbished Homage OR Elitist Jerks: Tree Edition
I said I'd post the Immerman piece, so here it is. It's written more for me and you guys than the grade, anyway. I should have really written it Sunday, so I could re-read with a fresh mind today, and then post a cleaner version for you guys to look at and hopefully give feedback on, but it wasn't in the cards.

Beliefs
So we started a surprisingly brief unit on belief pieces working off of the "This I believe" pieces, and while we're being forced to stay away (read: not mention at all) from religion and such when making this piece to avoid sounding preachy, I was kind of curious what I really thought about all this. Parents, Part 1

I did draft 1 of that essay - this is pretty generic disclaimer, but I'm still sick and I feel like that's not helping me much, here - my writing doesn't feel crisp to me, and the type of writing this is really isn't my strength.
