It strikes me that not everyone has heard the news. As reported from their web site, They Might Be Giants will be performing at the 9:30 Club in Washington DC on Friday, November 28, where they will be "performing a full set and then their platinum album Flood in its entirety." After your post I realized there are many hockey games this season but only ONE TMBG concert. Plus...I doubt they'll ever play Flood again in its entirety, so it's a must see. Jim is going to the game though - TMBG isn't metal enough for him :P

Aaaah, you are very wise. I admit, if it's a band that comes through often and it's just another show, I won't change my plans for it. But I suspect this is one of those "once in our lifetimes" sorts of things that we would regret not going to if we didn't make it.

OTOH, if Jim and folks want to all do dinner with us before hand, the more the merrier. We even promise not to be *completely* annoying and sing all through it. ;)

I am unnaturally interested in the Cruxshadows show, but it will be too crazy trying to plan multiple family dinners and a cool concert to boot.

Oh, just because I've been missing clubbing for a while, and they put on a good show. Nothing fancy.
