That was fun -- outtakes are one of the great things about fan fiction. I must say I have never in the past been able to wrap my mind around puppy play or pony play, but it is fun extending my boundaries (your writing tends to have that effect on me :) )

I can see how this didn't fit in with how Draws turned out -- they are now already past the point in which the psychological dynamics would work like this. If they had done this scene in a later chapter, the interactions would have to be different given the changes they are going through while helping Pike to recover. My guess is that in the future there will be less of a feeling on Pike's (and Jim's) part that Dael is primarily his.

Maybe if they had managed to have a shore leave some time during Act 1 of the latest chapter of Draws.... even then, Pike wasn't yet comfortable with much kink in his relationship with Dael.

Thanks for your comment! Glad the puppy play worked for you :)

When I wrote the story back then, I thought it would fit at one point in the future, but with Chris' health problems, four-legged puppy play is out by now. And yes, the foursome has already moved ahead from this dynamics, while on the other hand Chris never really invited the kink with Dael in the main timeline (so far at least, and I don't have big plans to change that). So this story will never fit into the main timeline.

The question who Dael (and McCoy, for the matter), "belong to" will remain interesting and slightly fluid, but Pike/Dael has definitely become a big item in itself, and she's far beyond being just a placeholder (for which there has been a slight danger in the beginning).

Oooh, unexpected bonus!Draws on a Saturday morning... it's like Christmas. *g*

The full-on pet play thing isn't usually to my taste but something about this worked for me really well, somewhere between Dael being ridiculously hot draped over a motorbike and the idea of Pike and Kirk literally fighting it out for her. As ever, it's the existing tensions and attractions between these characters that really sells it, and I'm glad Pike's got his McCoy and sauna party to look forward to later. Don't suppose you've got that cut scene laying about somewhere...? ;)

Thanks for sharing, that was a really nice treat. *g*

Thanks for the comment *G* Sorry, no, no cut scene in the sauna. Actually, this story isn't a classic outtake either, because it's always been a full story but it just kept not to fit into the main timeline, so I finally decided to push it out as stand-alone.

Glad the puppy play worked for you, and Dael on the bike... I think that was the one image that started the whole story in my head *G*

It's nice seeing such a stable poly relationship. I really liked Pike's jealousy here, and how it was powerful but natural and ultimately reassured, how Pike gets his own private time with McCoy at the end.

And puppy play! This fandom needs more of it. I pouted a little when McCoy didn't want to join in, but I also liked that there was such variety of tastes in their group.

The whole scene originated from the existing, but mostly subdued feeling of competition between Chris and Jim, so McCoy just wouldn't have fit in as he's not competing about Dael. But yeah, definitely very stable by now, despite little moments of unsureness, which are simply human.

In my experience, the brain is always rather active in kinky scenes because those need more planning, logistics and control than just simple fucking. But yeah, these folks are especially thinky!

UNF. Those three together are incredibly hot, and you write them so very well.
