I'm in rochester hanging out until wednesday or thursday (still trying to decide which). So I have this random question that I'm wondering if any of you can answer (and a possible follow-up question). Have any of you been on super high doses of prednisone (80mg) before? I was on 50mg for 2 day, a salmuterol shot in the hospita and 80mg for 5 days and now I'm dropping by 10mg a day to come off of it ( Read more... )

So, apparently my doctor says that the other doctors put me on way too much prednisone which reacts in all sorts of ways with my other medicines. Right now I"m dealing with random full body convulsions, shaking, sudden muscle weaknes, joint pain among many other issues. So I have now been having a pretty bad asthma attack for almost 2 weeks. After a couple days, I realized I needed the dreaded steroids and went and got them. Two days later it actually got worse so I went back to the doctor and was admitted. I was in the hospital from Thursday to Sunday when my dad came up to help for a couple days. So, I didn't really sleep so I've been talking to people online and stuff. I looked at the weather and it's currently like 3 degrees with a wind chill of -19. I figured it was just a cold evening/morning then I saw that today's high is only 9 degrees. What's going on, it's not january yet.
