I took a look at the listing and it's not obvious but this isn't a DVD but a comic book/graphic novel based on the TV series from the 1960's. There was at least one movie based on the TV series. There was an attempt at re-making the series back in the early '90's with Ben Cross as Barnabas Collins but it was very short lived. They are about to make a movie with Johnny Depp as Barnabas. That show scared the heck out of me back in the 1960's when I was a small child!
You can get dvd players that will play all regions and they are inexpensive. I think ours cost us 19 GBP from amazon.co.uk. We have a ton of movies from the US and now movies from the UK and we can watch all of them on the same dvd player. :)
I remember the TV series soap opera from the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. I can’t wait for the upcoming Johnny Depp film! I’m willing to bet when the film comes out the soap opera will be fully released on DVD as well.
So, Bjarne, ;o) you and I and all the other Dark Shadows fans will need to be patient.
As my_stitching has said, you can get universal DVD players. My brother moved his family from Michigan to Berlin and he needed a universal player for his little girls to be able to watch all of their movies. If you do that, I found this: http://www.liquidation-dvd-sets.com/product.php?productid=38420
I used to watch that too as a teenager. They didn't have video recorders then so if I was going to miss it, my mom would set my cassette recorder next to it and record the sound for me. Its the only soap opera I ever watched. I see it on different tv channels occasionally and can't believe how silly some of the acting was, but I did have a thing for David Selby (the werewolf), and poor Barnabas. I especially loved it when they'd go into the past. I didn't know about the Johnny Depp version so now I'm excited about that.

What you linked to is a compilation of some of the comic book adaptations of that tv series, not the episodes themselves.
There was a House of Dark Shadows movie in 1970, also based on the tv series... is that what you're remembering?
