Yard Progress
When we moved into our house, the yard was extremely overgrown -- blackberries, ivy, years of scraggly dead clematis vines with new ones clambering on top, ugly as sin Photinia with horrible (or no) pruning, equally ugly Arborvitae, and weeds galore. Stupid Brain
Guh. I went out with my sister today. We looked at 3D TVs and had lunch. I ended up with a migraine which got worse and worse until I couldn't even talk or move without worrying about throwing up. She took me home and I ended up stumbling into the house and lying down, and sleeping for six hours ( Read more... ) -
Great ChuChu News!
We just came back from ChuChu's follow-up appointment. The vet declared her all better! Her stomach and crop were back to normal. She's active and excited and talkative like normal. The vet said I can take her off the laxative. I think I'll be nervous for a while, prodding her crop, until I know it doesn't come back once the medicine is gone. But I ( Read more... ) -
ChuChu Update and some yard photos
ChuChu is back to acting normal. She is talking up a storm in the mornings and evenings, bashing her bell, and throwing things. I'm hoping she's really on the mend and won't have a relapse when taken off the medication. Cautiously hopeful.

ChuChu and more about owls... >_>
ChuChu's crop seemed really big when I felt it this evening. I never paid attention before she was sick, so I don't know how big they get normally after a full day of eating, but I couldn't feel her collar bones at all. Everyone should go poke their parrot's crops today and tell me how they should feel. I'm really worried. :( She's still more ( Read more... ) -

Also, Honah pointed out the owls in Legend of the Guardians have the wrong arrangement of toes (I can see it on the HD trailers online now). SIGH. Why?!? WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT?
