Naruto Fic Recs list
Yet another fic recs list to add to the many that are already out there. It's no even close to finished yet, these were just the one that I remembered off the top of my head when I wrote down which ones I wanted to rec. Currently only SasuNaru, although I plan to add some other pairings and gen fics after my exams.
Please note that when I say SasuNaru, it doesn't necessarily mean that Sasuke tops.
I've tried to avoid linking to aff, due to my utmost hatred of the site, but I got a little lazy ^^;; Yeah, I suck.

Sum it up: It seemed like a good idea at the time. Reasonable, even. The Hyuuga family was old and noble and rich. The Uchiha clan had no where else to go. So once the rambunctious Sasuke settled down, grew up, and the darkness around him lifted a little, it had been all settled.
I say: Despite the SasuHina offspring, it is actually SasuNaru :P An interesting look at what happens when you mix bloodlines.

Sum it up: As he slides to the ground, dark red blood smears along the length of the tree trunk. That last blow he hadn’t been quick enough to avoid was all Sasuke - vicious, brilliant and painful as hell. But it served its purpose, his accelerated self-healing ability is sealed behind something that burns against his skin. Sasuke may be dying, but Naruto sure isn’t going to get very far without medical attention.
I say: Wow. I enjoyed it very much, but it took me forever to find the damn link again :P

Sum it up: By the start of the second week after the Event, Sasuke felt like the shirt was mocking him. Sneering at him. Reminding him of what happened. Showing up in his dreams.

Sum it up: He looked at Sasuke again, thinking. Sasuke was proud, and cold, and aloof, and strong-willed. Most of the time. But he didn't know how to deal with people that well, and he hated being vulnerable. And ending up in a weaker girl's body, underneath a man... it had to be pretty scary for someone like him.
I say: Hooray for Sexy no Jutsu. There is a softer version, but I won’t bother linking unless some asks for it.

Sum it up: Naruto opened up his eyes, unaware of the low sound of dismay that had escaped him as he watched Sasuke dust himself off with his back turned to him. He groaned and closed his aching thighs together, willing his throbbing and aching groin to cease its torture on his body. Damn Sasuke for confusing him like this!
“Now, do you see why I could never like Sakura?” came the quiet question from Sasuke, who was yet to look Naruto in the eye.
I say: It made me lol at Naruto’s sheer denseness. Maybe a little OoC but small enough to ignore.

Sum it up: Who would’ve guessed that someone so abrasive and immature would end up being Sasuke’s closest friend? They’d hated each other in elementary school, had developed grudging respect for each other in middle school, and after a not-so-brief falling out when they were thirteen, the two had grown almost abnormally-in Sasuke’s eyes-close. Hell, they’d followed each other to college, hadn’t they?
I say: So amazingly realistic, not just because it’s set in a college, but because it feels just like life can sometimes. I love it! *_*

I say: Wow. Just wow. I’ll also add here that this fic has introduced me to the sheer brilliance that is Elliot Smith. It weaves relavent lyrics into the story in a way that makes it flow, unlike most songfics I’ve seen. It's not really a songfic though. Band/Highschool AU.

Sum it up: The furry is looking amused. Sasuke wonders if the idiot even knows how many ways he could kill him, and slaps down yet another warning flash. Unjustified use of lethal force against civilian yadda yadda -- he's not a cop anymore. He can unjustify anything he wants. Dumb subroutines. He hates that auto-restore feature.
I say: askerian is a very good writer. Read. Cyber AU.

Sum it up: The young man leaning over the Hokage's desk didn't look remarkable. He showed no obvious clan affiliation, and his coloring was wrong as well: most of the major clans in Konoha produced dark-haired, pale-skinned children, and this man sported a dark tan and sun-bleached yellow hair. His chuunin uniform was unkept, scratched and spotted with different stains. His most noticeable trait was that he couldn't seem to keep still: he kept moving around, tapping his feet, running his hands across the desk or folding them, then dropping them to his sides.
"Listen, old hag," and that was another mark of distinction: gone was any lack of reverence towards the number one ninja in the country, the physical and spiritual leader of his village. "You can't stick me with a group of little kids! I told you when I got old enough, I didn't want one! Do you know how much this is going to cut back on my mission eligibility?"
I say: The characterisation blew me away. So sad T^T *sniffle*

Sum it up: Naruto glanced at his itinerary. In bold letters he saw London Heathrow as his first stop and then he would get on a connecting flight to Belfast before he made his way further north to the city of Coleraine. He sent another 'thank you' to his teacher and advisor, Iruka, at the local community college in his hometown for pushing him to apply to study abroad for a year in Northern Ireland.
I say: Maybe I’m a little biased because it’s a college fic that’s set in Britain not America (even though I’m English!British not Irish!British) but it’s an awesome, pretty fic, well characterised and an interesting plot.

Sum it up: He knows that the seal is still firmly in place. Everyone knows the seal is still firmly in place; Tsunade made sure of that when the whole mess began. And it's not like it's even visible unless Naruto is using the fox demon's chakra. It's a stupid gesture, and Sasuke doesn't like doing stupid things.

I say: Sad and angsty, one of the few fics I’ve read which has almost made me cry (almost, mind you, I am a cold hearted ice-bitch after all :P)

He can see one hand peeking over the dip of neck and shoulder as if Sasuke had his arms across his chest.
I say: Despite the fact I much prefer angst over fluff, I like this fic better than any of sugahlei’s angst fics, although I still love love LOVE those. I also recommend visiting her ffn page and taking a look round there.

"Who are you?" Naruto repeated, more forcefully this time. "And where am I?" He scooted to the opposite side of the bed and stood, putting as much space between himself and the overly familiar stranger as possible. The man was frowning now in confusion, unwittingly mirroring the exact expression on Naruto's face. He could feel the sun warm against his back and he briefly considered fleeing through the window.
I say: I’m one of the few people who doesn’t think Yondaime is Naruto’s daddy, but I rec this none the less. An intriguing look at what could have been.

Sum it up: The predictions of him picking up several not-so-wholesome traits from Kakashi was slowly coming true. He was already down the irreversible path to pervert-hood without knowing it, and he suspected Kakashi and Jiraiya-sama were going to welcome him into the fold with open arms. Where was that kunai, he wondered briefly.
I say: In which Kakashi and Jaraiya attempt to infect their students with their perverseness. Beware the naked Naruto.

Sum it up: Naruto looked up and down the long table, finding people he knew here and there, and then stole a piece of sushi when he thought no one was looking.
I say: Smut, with a little bit of fluff and a few giggles. A few barest hints of SakuIno, which gains my eternal love.

Sum it up: It was a ridiculously simple plan, comprised solely of low-level ninjutsu, flat out lies, and more than a little alcohol. A genin could have pulled this off, honestly--not that he suggested a genin should, though, because drinking and sex were heavily involved in The Plan. In fact, drinking and sex covered two out of three aspects of The Plan.
I say: I’m not usually into the whole MPreg thing, but for this I make exception. Starts off funny and gets darker as you go along, but still has a few moments of fluffy fun.

Sum it up: Sasuke had been stuck in the office all day, he would take a shack by the roadway at this point. "Fine." He murmured, maintaining his calm façade by the thinnest of margins. "I'll take it." He didn't exactly know what 'caretaker' involved, but since he never listed any handyman skills, he figured that it was mainly watching over the place and checking to make sure it wasn't falling apart on the people that lived there. Plus, it would save him money.
I say: Amazingly original, I was wowed by the plot. Although it does take a while to reach the soft, chewy SasuNaru centre.

Sum it up: "Naruto..." The older man's brows drew in, perplexed at the way he was acting. "What's wrong...?" He tilted his head, his movement an exact copy of what Naruto did when he was puzzled. "Did you have a bad dream or something?" Naruto shook his head, eyes narrowed and his heart speeding up faster in his chest.
"Who are you?" Naruto repeated, more forcefully this time. "And where am I?" He scooted to the opposite side of the bed and stood, putting as much space between himself and the overly familiar stranger as possible. The man was frowning now in confusion, unwittingly mirroring the exact expression on Naruto's face. He could feel the sun warm against his back and he briefly considered fleeing through the window.
I say: I’m one of the few people who doesn’t think Yondaime is Naruto’s daddy, but I rec this none the less. An intriguing look at what could have been.

Sum it up: The predictions of him picking up several not-so-wholesome traits from Kakashi was slowly coming true. He was already down the irreversible path to pervert-hood without knowing it, and he suspected Kakashi and Jiraiya-sama were going to welcome him into the fold with open arms. Where was that kunai, he wondered briefly.
I say: In which Kakashi and Jaraiya attempt to infect their students with their perverseness. Beware the naked Naruto.

Sum it up: Naruto looked up and down the long table, finding people he knew here and there, and then stole a piece of sushi when he thought no one was looking.
I say: Smut, with a little bit of fluff and a few giggles. A few barest hints of SakuIno, which gains my eternal love.

Sum it up: It was a ridiculously simple plan, comprised solely of low-level ninjutsu, flat out lies, and more than a little alcohol. A genin could have pulled this off, honestly--not that he suggested a genin should, though, because drinking and sex were heavily involved in The Plan. In fact, drinking and sex covered two out of three aspects of The Plan.
I say: I’m not usually into the whole MPreg thing, but for this I make exception. Starts off funny and gets darker as you go along, but still has a few moments of fluffy fun.

Sum it up: Sasuke had been stuck in the office all day, he would take a shack by the roadway at this point. "Fine." He murmured, maintaining his calm façade by the thinnest of margins. "I'll take it." He didn't exactly know what 'caretaker' involved, but since he never listed any handyman skills, he figured that it was mainly watching over the place and checking to make sure it wasn't falling apart on the people that lived there. Plus, it would save him money.
I say: Amazingly original, I was wowed by the plot. Although it does take a while to reach the soft, chewy SasuNaru centre.

A brilliant azure blue blinked at him; it was a shade he hadn’t seen in years. Suddenly Sasuke hated this man. Only one person was allowed to have those color eyes and he was going to kill this man so he wouldn’t have to look at them.
