I Can't Take This anonymous June 25 2006, 19:03:49 UTC

...It's so good. I'm having heart palpitations here.

The vows
till death, and beyond
the eyes locked on him
the clasping unseen hand
the mouth nuzzling his hair

This was SO beautiful. Absolutely wonderful.

Those marriage vows, Jack's hand and mouth...WOW!!

"I, Jack, take you Ennis…" SO heartbreaking...

Thanks so much, all of you, for the encouragement - it's my first attempt at fiction of any kind and I'm still in uncharted territory!

Those next few chapters aren't quite so angsty, with the next two introducing a new character. That may make this look like an "Ennis moves on" fic; but the main plot is Ennis & Jack's unbreakable bond. An extended scene between Ennis and Jack in the "Wedding Night" part is the central event everything else loops back to, although Jack isn't in every chapter. But I promise, he stays in the story.
