I haven't posted or even visited much here lately. No good reason, really- mostly because I haven't been home for more than 2 weeks at a time since mid-June and life keeps me busy. I've been back from BC for a few days now-I was visiting the parents in Kamloops. My last day at the bank is tomorrow, and they are squeezing every last hour out of me they can. I got back from BC on the 31st. Fog had closed down the Kamloops airport (that's what happens when a town has many rivers and is closed in by mountains!) so some flights were canceled. It's a small airport, so chaos is one Jazz Dash 8 not taking off away (let alone 2 ( Read more... )

I'm packing up for my trip to BC- I leave early tomorrow morning for Victoria, Vancouver and Kamloops. I'll be gone for almost 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to seeing the family and friends out there again, but I hate packing up and worrying about the house and family while I'm gone. Apart from the year(s) that the kids were away at boarding schools (and there was only one year that they were both gone at the same time, and then the son was usually home weekends), the kids have been around a lot, even though this year they are both out of the teens.
