Wow that is a big move quitting such a long term job. Sounds like a very good reason. Enjoy the summer and make plans in the fall.

Enjoy your retirement.

I know one of the big perks of your job was the flexibility. Without that, I can see there being very little advantage for you. It is the same for me with WW. I can get the time off when I want or need it. That is HUGE!

After a lifetime of work, why not enjoy your retirement while you are still young?

Wow, big step! Sounds like the right decision, and certainly their loss! Seems odd that suddenly it's all about being inflexible.

I wasn't really surprised- it's been moving this way for some time as staffing has gotten tighter. They have always made an exception for me, but I think the decision has come from a higher authority (nobody in my branch is happy about this either, including my manager!)
