Over the last few months, I've been watching the West Wing for the first time and I'm halfway through the last season. I witnessed a lie today; and perhaps by keeping quiet, I was a party to one. It was a harmless white lie, the type that you see in a sitcom. I even got the momentary glare that silently said all sorts of things to me like "Don't you dare out me.", "It's a lot easier this way" and "The truth provides no benefit". One of the things that our grade 2 teacher did in our class was to every now and then (daily? weekly?) assemble us to sit cross-legged on the floor and she would tell us about current events. I find it confusing that the mid-Autumn festival occurs well before the autumnal equinox.

Saturday I went to the Jays game with my sister. While we did pack some food for the game, we left without any sunscreen. The game was a blowout for the Jays and although it would have been nice to have some tension infused into the game, we were treated to seeing every Jay have a hit, including several home runs, one of which was a grand slam.
