Tanka Written over the Weekend
4/25 -- There is a pricey Japanese restaurant atop a very high hill/small mountain near Suffern. This was inspired by the drive passing it.
A rice bowl moon shines
through clouds over the tea house
high on the mountain.
Patrons keep high company;
the rest of us have this view. -
Sharing My Tanka for 11/16/14
This is for diablu, who had survived a horrific auto accident in late September and is only now able to speak to his friends. He has a long road ahead of him. Perhaps another tanka will be posted another day in memory of his lady, wldrose, who did not survive.

plotting our sortie
into the blustery day
with grand engineering plans.
