First day back home in Toronto didn't go so well. I ended up crying myself to sleep because I got too overwhelmed by everything that was happening with my family and the apartment... Wrote my last exam of the term today. Well I actually wrote my last two today. One at 9am and one at 4pm. On a Saturday of all days :(. I still have one final paper due on Tuesday before I'll officially be finished this term and then I'll have a few weeks of holiday before the Fall term starts. I had a good birthday. On Thursday I headed back to Toronto and had dinner with some friends. I was a little bummed that I had spent so much time looking for a nice restaurant only to find out that it had been fully booked the day of. The first year of the second decade of my life will soon be coming to a close. I guess I fall into that general pattern of having looked forward to growing up as a kid but wanting to stay younger for a bit longer as an adult. Adult. Friendships that aren't worth saving.
I haven't been having a good morning so far. My housemates decided to throw a house party last night. This is just what happens when you live with people that were already really good friends beforehand--your house becomes the main hangout spot for them and all their obnoxious friends. I was really looking forward to being able to go back to my old high school to attend my little sister's graduation ceremony, but I found out yesterday that she's not going to graduate after all. I finally have free time again enough of a break between assignment due dates that I don't feel as guilty about procrastinating on here. I went home to Toronto last weekend. Someday, you will miss me.
Someone once told me that they don't miss people. And I thought, interesting, I don't miss people that much either. All I have to do is write about them and then I'll be able to let them go because I'll still have this little piece of their existence and I can feel thankful that I at least got the chance to have them be a part of my life ( Read more... ) -
