We had a lovely, if stressful, Christmas. My brother made it out from New Jersey, finally, after practically the voyage of Odysseus. HIs flight from NJ was 2 hrs late, so he missed his connection in Chicago (on Friday). Santa got Bart bath toys? Well... I guess that is ok. As long as he doesn't choke on them. :-)

Clara, as always, looks abso-freaken' lutely ADORABLE! She is gonna be a heartbreaker.

It is a great card game played with six decks of cards. Almost a competitive type of Rummy, but not. Hard to explain, it has strange rules. If you ever want to come play with us, let me know. You are always welcome on one of our anti-D&D card nights! :-)

Is your dad out of the hospital? Hope he got to enjoy some tamales with you.

Yes, my dad got out of the hospital the Thursday before Christmas, so he got to enjoy tamales and all the other festivities with us, which was nice. He is doing better, except the site where the dialysis port was installed, then subsequently removed, is painful. He is currently a miracle of science, as whatever they did to him in the hospital has made his kidneys function again (mysteriously) and he won't need dialysis, at least for now.
