Hey all! I just had to let you know that all the beautiful pictures that you posted on here as renewed my interest in tatting! I'm so excited to go home, dust of the instruction book and shuttles. You are all so good that it's a bit intimidating! :)

the day before yesterday i tatted a small pair of earrings from a pattern i bought recently from http://www.hhtatting.com/   they were teeny and cute and lacy and i love them.  i used a new thread. a variegated purple/white/light green.

I use to work at a home improvement store as a cashier. In the lumber department I would get bored, due to the slow traffic and would take some of the twine that was free to customers and do some tatting with my fingers while at the register. Definitely fun. Just thought you guys might find it amusing.

I finished two pieces yesterday. I completed the ecru cross for a friend's doctor, which I'd been working on for a little over two days/nights, and I designed, stitched, completed and starched a necklace as well.

It took me about eight nights' worth of tatting to complete these booties. They weren't particularly difficult to tat, but the pattern gave me a bit of trouble, as it relied heavily on diagrams - something I've not yet learned to read nearly so well as long-hand pattern.

My adventures in tatting. I first learned tatting from a book that I got a used book sell. It explained different types of tatting and I wanted to do the shuttle tatting, it looked unique, since I already do crafts with hooks and needles. I am teaching myself how to shuttle tat using online guides & books. I bought the Big Book of Tatting yesterday & can't wait to get going on some of the patterns.
