On Saturday, I went to the Borough Market. It's the main fancy farmers market in London. A more expensive, more upmarket, Old Strathcona market. My favourites are the black pudding and the sausages. But they also have cheeses, butchers, fruit, vegetables, olives, breads, desserts, coffee... It's a foodie paradise. And a danger to the wallets ( Read more... )

This weekend I finished reading Oliver Twist. And started American Gods. I'm not going to say anything about the book yet, but it's going at a much faster speed than Oliver Twist. :) It's much harder to stop reading it...

I know it doesn't qualify for snow in Canada, but as we left the house this morning there were tiny white drops that were not in liquid form. Of course, a fraction of a second after they touched the ground they disappeared, so there's no chance of a white landscape. But I wouldn't expect this in London. Makes me wonder about the health of the Gulf

I'm currently reading "Oliver Twist", from the library. I had never read it, or seen the film/musical/whatever. It's nice, but I don't think deserves a review here - I'm sure most of you have already read it...

I'm beginning to read "I'm OK, you're OK". Strongly recommended by my dad for the last couple of years, so I finally gave in and bought it. It was a beautiful, sunny day again. Completely blue sky. Two days in a row. Now I won't feel completely depressed if it disappears again for a week... Although I'd rather keep the blue sky for longer.
