I am so very tired but I can't go to sleep, it's like I am afraid to sleep or something. Oh, sigh. Thank you helpme__rhonda and christianeee for the virtual gifts, so sweet <3.

"'Can a magician kill a man by magic?' Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. 'I suppose a magician might,' he admitted, 'but a gentleman never could.'"

Holy shit I loved that book. And that artist from devinatart is pretty cool too.

I always recommend Jude The Obscure if you want really depressive.
But then again who ever wants that.

American Gods by Neil Gaiman is good too. I heard Anasi's Boys is good too.
Any book by Terry Pratchett.

that book is amazing. i'm rereading (listening) to it again right now.

there is such a huge north/south divide in the uk and i love the fact that the north > the south in this world. I also get ridiculously excited when it takes place in places i've been to.

as for recommendations, everything new i've read recently is shit.

Wise Blood by Flannery O'Connor. If you want to get a feel of her writing first, here's her most famous short story:

Or anything by James Baldwin or Margaret Atwood.

Oooh, if you've loved the show I REALLY recommend the book. On the one hand the mini is a pretty faithful adaptation, but on the other hand you get lots of context that changes your perspective on events AND there are various little scenes with characters that didn't make it into the mini - like Brad Colbert losing his shit and crying. I actually have it on ebook, I'm pretty sure, if you want it?
