Today my mother asked if I've ever dated someone with a job. I didn't realize until that moment the answer is no. Apparently now that I've matured from my larvel student stage and emerged from my grad school chrysalis, I'm a professional. I'm leaving for NYC this week to compete in a moot court competition. Basically that involves trying to present my argument for 15m while a panel of three judges tries with greater might to derail me. We're constantly interrupting each other, not argumentatively, but because we're just so wrapped up in the exchange. There's never a lag in conversation.
