My mom broke her leg in Egypt. She's got a cast, and is trying to find crutches that fit (the hospital apparently doesn't have many sizes to choose from). They're supposed to have another 3 weeks left of their vacation, too. I think they're going to come home early. This is the 3rd thing she's broken in 5 years. I feel so bad for her ( Read more... ) -

Well, my parents are now somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean on their way to Egypt. That means that Roxy and I are on our own for the next 3 weeks. Colin and I talked a little today. Ok, it's about time...
...I take back some of my own. For once, I'm not going to back down and limp away licking my wounds while giving up what I worked hard to get. I did that with Nathan and gave up a great group of friends as a result. It sucked. Hard. And I don't want to do that again. It's back. The urge to check his profiles is gnawing at me. Even staying away from the social sites isn't enough. Why can't we conquer the feelings that we know will make us more miserable?
