I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday.  It means a lot to me, especially since I am so bad at remembering other people's birthdays!

I've started doing interviews for students who want to attend my alma mater.  Well this weekend I got an e-mail from a student about an interview.

She misspelled the word "interview".

Granted it was clearly a typo because no one would believe there's a Q in interview but yeah...not the best first impression kid.

so I've been reliving my teen years and watching more of the CW than any other channel lately...and the movie Nights in Rodanthe has been advertised just about every commercial break.  This channel is geared towards teens, so do the marketing geniuses really think that a ton of teens are going to see a romantic drama about people their parents age ( Read more... )

 My dad's friend Harry died of a heart attack yesterday morning around 3 am.  He didn't have any kids and was pretty kick-ass.  He came with my dad, my sister and I to my first yankees game.

For some reason I think I'm more upset than my dad is, or at least he's not at the bar with the rest of his friends
