Wow...
Just found out that one of my childhood friends (he lived across the street) is in jail in Spain (Spain?!) for possession of cocaine. Apparently, along with a drinking problem, he's been in and out of rehab centers for a cocaine addiction. The temperature got a little tolerable today so I was outside, finishing the section of the fence between my yard and my neighbor’s. Six feet high. Let’s see the deer try to jump that! Holiday rush
How many of you were out there today, trying to get that last little bit of shopping in just before Christmas? With most of my family being non-local (my mom's the only one who lives in town), we've always had to mail presents out and thus, have got into the habit of getting the shopping done at least a good two weeks in advance. Thanks to those who wished me a happy birthday. It came and went without much fanfare. Thursday night had dinner with my mom and opened my presents. You know you're getting older when all your presents are represented as a pile of envelopes. Gotcha you little bastard!
I just caught my nemesis. A bushy-tailed little bastard who was making himself far too comfortable in my yard. There's a squirrel that was scurrying around, climbing across the house using the stucco, the eavestroughs and I'm pretty sure found a way into the attic through the soffeting (I've heard him at night running the length of the house).
